Sardinia : Italy's Isle of Beauty

Wrapped in a thousand year history, Sardinia lies gently lapped by the Mediterranean. From north to south, discover Sardinia's idyllic beaches, majestic mountains, medieval villages, and historic gems.

The Corsican town of Bonifacio is just 12 km from the northern tip of Sardinia, introducing the charming village of Santa Teresa di Gallura. Don't miss the peninsula of Capo Testa, one of the island's wildest areas, before discovering Costa Smeralda to the east. Essential spots on this famous coast include Porto Cervo's luxury marina, the iconic village of Arzachena and the Maddalena archipelago, comprised of 7 islands and around 60 rocky isles, all boasting superb beaches - ideal for a snorkeling session to discover Sardinia's amazing watery depths. To the Northwest, pay a visit to La Pelosa in Stintino, one of the world's loveliest beaches, the medieval town of Alghero, the natural Neptune grotto, and the picturesque village of Bosa.

Rural Sardinia

The heart of Sardinia, La Barbagia is famed for its many 100-year-old inhabitants. With its shepherds, traditions, authenticity and wide-open spaces, the hinterland is encircled by the Gennargentu mountain range, peaking at La Punta La Marmora at 1834m, and the Supramonte, at whose foot the spectacular spring of Su Gologone gushes out up to 300 litres of water per second! The most athletic amongst us can then head for the Su Gorropu gorges, among the deepest in Europe.

Cap sur le sud

The departure point for exploring the southern part of the island is its capital, Cagliari. Its landmarks include the Cattedrale di Santa Maria, the Palazzo di Città, Bastione San Remy, La Torre dell’Elefante, and the historic neighborhood of Il Castillo. To the south-west, on the Costa Verde, the Piscinas beach offers stunning scenery and sand dunes boasting World Heritage status.

Finally, visit the nuraghes, ancient megalithic structures found all over the island. From Cagliari, they extend over several hundred kilometres heading north towards Torralba: Nuraghe Arrubiu in Orroli, Su Nuraxi in Barumini, and Santuario Nuragico di Santa Cristina in Paulilatino.

A paradise called Forte Village

Not far from the capital, in Pula Cagliari, Forte Village is a well-kept secret. In a splendid oasis of greenery edged by a long beach of white sand, this unique resort is seen as the world's best holiday village. Its assets? 8 luxury hotels, 13 villas with private pools, up to 21 restaurants in the high season, many run by Michelin-starred chefs, a kids’ club with an aquatic park and go-kart track, a piazza with luxury boutiques, a top-class sports complex, and above all, Acquaforte, an incredible spa and thalassotherapy centre prized by top international athletes. Everyone's dream comes true!
