Radiance as heritage

An icon of beauty and elegance, H.S.H. Princess Grace of Monaco left behind an impressive collection of fascinating and inspiring jewellery in her image.

The wedding of American actress Grace Kelly to H.S.H. Prince Rainier III of Monaco gave rise to an extraordinary jewellery collection. Her engagement ring is one of its treasures. This spectacular platinum solitaire, designed by Cartier and crowned by a 10.48-carat emerald-cut diamond, was immortalised in the film High Society (Charles Walters, 1956).

Official supplier to the Principality since 1920, the Parisian jeweller also created a magnificent tiara, presented to the Princely Couple by the Société des Bains de Mer as a wedding present. Comprised of three central sections set with cabochon rubies and diamonds, this tiara could be transformed into three detachable brooches. Princess Grace regularly wore them pinned to her hair or her outfits, sometimes even as earrings.

Jeweller Van Cleef & Arpels, who, in its turn, became an official supplier to the Principality, also contributed to the princely collection with a dazzling set of pearls and diamonds, made up of a necklace, a three-row bracelet, earrings, and a ring. Already a client of the House before her engagement, the Princess loved to wear her signature “Alhambra” long necklace, with its four-leaf clover medallion, as well as her emblematic animal clips.

These exceptional jewellery creations have been displayed in museums worldwide, celebrating the destiny of an extraordinary woman and a princess of legendary style, so dear to the Principality and to CREM, thanks to the unbreakable link between the Princess and the association's President, Mrs. Louisette Azzoaglio Levy-Soussan.

Welcome to the world of CREM: a place, a lifestyle, a culture.
